TIU and First Iraqi Bank Foster Collaboration with FASE Initiative

Tishk International University’s Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics (FASE) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with First Iraqi Bank, a prominent digital bank in Iraq and the Kurdistan region. Established in 2020, First Iraqi Bank has quickly emerged as one of the leading digital banks in the region.

The signing ceremony for the MOU took place at the university campus, marking the establishment of a collaborative partnership between Tishk International University and First Iraqi Bank. The MOU aims to facilitate cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including education, student and staff training, internships, and career development.

The ceremony was attended by senior officials from both institutions, including Dr. Abdul-Samad, the President of TIU, Prof. Dr. Osman N. Aras, the Dean of FASE, Mr. Karwan H. Saeed, the Vice Dean of FASE, Dr. Waqar Ahmad, the Head of the Department of Accounting and Finance & Banking, Mr. Fayeq Ali, the Head of the Department of Business & Management and Entrepreneurship & Marketing, Mr. Mariwan Ziad, the CEO of First Iraqi Bank, and Mr. Idris Saleh, the Commercial Manager of First Iraqi Bank.

During the signing ceremony, Dr. Abdul-Samad expressed his satisfaction with the partnership, highlighting its significance as a major step for the university to collaborate with a leading digital bank. He emphasized the importance of such collaborations in advancing education and providing professional development opportunities for students, faculty, and staff.

Mr. Mariwan also expressed his excitement about the partnership, recognizing the opportunity to work with Tishk International University, renowned for its academic excellence and international recognition. He emphasized the importance of such partnerships in building a strong and vibrant ecosystem that contributes to the development of the banking sector in the region.

The ceremony concluded with the signing of the MOU by the President of the University and the Chief Executive Officer of First Iraqi Bank, solidifying the commitment to collaboration and mutual growth between the two institutions.
